Children from birth to age three who exhibit developmental delays may be eligible for Indiana’s early intervention program. Evaluations are completed by trained professionals at no cost to the family, regardless of income. Children determined eligible for the program will receive ongoing services based on the recommendation of the child’s team which includes; the parent/guardian, Service Coordinator, Therapists and Physician. All First Steps services are provided in the natural environment, i.e. home, daycare or other community setting in which the child routinely participates.
Possibilities Northeast, one of the largest First Steps providers in Indiana serves children in over 20 counties throughout the state. Our providers are trained in early intervention/pediatrics and participate in continuing education to gain knowledge on new trends in evaluation and treatment.
